What It Is
Champion Gasket Sheets are flat sealing sheets made from various engineered materials (compressed fibre, graphite, PTFE, etc.) that are cut or fabricated into custom gaskets to seal pipe flanges, valves, pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and other equipment. They are widely used in industrial piping & process systems to prevent fluid or gas leakage under both pressure and temperature variations.
Material Types & Common Grades
Champion produces several types of gasket sheets depending on service requirements:
1. Compressed Fibre Jointing Sheets
Champion Style 20 Non‑Metallic Gasket
General purpose sealing for steam, water, air, oils, and non-critical services.
Champion Style 54 Super Asbestos Gasket jointing Sheet
Premium grade fibre for high temperature and pressure, ideal for steam and industrial process lines.
Other styles like Style 11, Style 60 Acid, Style 51 High Pressure are also available for chemical or high-pressure duties.+2
2. Graphite Sheets
Flexible graphite sheet (e.g., GS 64T / GS 64NG) reinforced with stainless steel or pure graphite for high temperature and aggressive service conditions such as steam, oils, and hydrocarbons.
3. PTFE & ePTFE Sheets
Virgin or expanded PTFE gasket sheets provide excellent chemical resistance and low creep, suitable for corrosive and aggressive media.
Typical Standards & Properties
Standards: DIN 28090-2, ASTM F152, ASTM F36, BS 7531 (varies with material)
Available Sizes: Up to ~~1500×1500 mm or larger depending on grade — thickness from ~0.5 mm to 5 mm+
